I am 34 years old and have slight bags under my eyes which make me look tired all the time.

I was wondering if you perform the transconjunctival method using a laser. Also I have developed a very slight bump on the bridge of my nose recently (I think from an accident I had as a child) and I would also like to correct this at the same time.

Could you please give me a rough idea of how long it would take to recover from both of these procedures if I had them at the same time and also a guide of the total cost?

To my knowledge, laser assisted transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty is very rarely carried out these days after a period of enthusiasm for this operation approximately 10 years ago. I think the main reason for it is fat the laser assisted technique is applied only for removal of lower eyelid fatty tissue.

In essence, during the transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty many surgeons opt to redistribute the lower eyelid fatty tissue over the tear trough (circles under the eyes) and at the same time produce a slight lift of the cheek tissues. The purpose of the approach is to improve the transition between cheek and lower eyelid (lid cheek junction) without producing an effect of hollowing around the eyes.

The combination of transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty and lower eyelid resurfacing with laser is much more common, in view of the fact that many patients would also like to achieve a degree of tightening to the lower eyelid skin, but without skin removal and external scars.

It is indeed possible to correct the contour of the bridge of the nose at the same time with the lower eyelid surgery. The recovery period is typically approximately 2 weeks for return to work and socialising.

It is however more difficult to give and estimate of the cost without a consultation.
