Question

I have been thinking about rhinoplasty and wonder how the consultation will be.

I mean will you take pictures and show me right there and then how my nose could look?

How long does the consultation take and is it ok to come and see you soon even though I probably will want to have surgery at the beginning of next year?

I read that you say it costs £150 for the consultation and that it would be included in the price if I would go ahead with the surgery?

Is it possible for you to tell me how much it could cost?

Answer

The consultation for rhinoplasty typically takes 45 min, and covers a discussion regarding your medical history, the examination and photographs, computer based design of the treatment plan and a discussion regarding the risks related to the treatment and expected recovery period.

I would like to point out that the purpose of the computer simulation is not so much to show patients what the nose would look like, but rather to help them decide what they would like the shape to be, and evaluate whether it is feasible, and what type of intervention may be necessary to achieve it.

Undoubtedly, there are always differences between the computer simulation and the outcome, but with a detailed plan and a dimensional approach to nose reshaping it is possible to achieve a good correlation between the plan and the result.

The information that you had regarding the costs is accurate.
