I have had 3 nose jobs and my nose is still not right. Would I be able to have revision surgery at all?

Question

I have had 3 nose jobs and my nose is still not right. It had been broken before and it is straighter but the tip has been built up too much after having the second op the surgeon felt my nose had become too weak afterwards at the tip and built it up-now my nose is uneven at the tip on the right hand side.

Would I be able to have revision surgery at all? I would still like it to be smaller to be honest. I am not sure if this could be done.

Answer

It is possible to have further surgery, but you should wait for at least one year after the last operation.

One of the issues related to the type of surgery is your target for the end result, and the availability of cartilage in the nose following your past operations.

In general terms, I would suggest a consultation using imaging and computer simulation in 3D so that you can define what you would like to achieve from a variety of angles. It is then possible to plan for the surgery accordingly. Bear in mind however that the result of surgery is never identical to the computer simulation.
