I was wondering how a rhinoplasty would be treated on a cleft lip patient. It would involve correction of the nasal bump as well as correction of the nostrils and narrowing of the nose.

Also, how much would a consultation cost and approximately how much does surgery cost?

In the context of a cleft lip, there are a number of rather typical developmental issues that affect the appearance of the nose.

In particular if this is not the first operation, I would probably favour using rib cartilage grafts to add support to the tip of the nose, enhance the nostril sill on the cleft side, and potentially provide support to the nostril rim.

At the same time it is possible to correct the nasal bump, and narrow the nostril base (alar base reduction). However, on the cleft side, it is more a question of adjusting the position of the nostril insertion rather than a simple reduction

The consultation is charged £300.
