I would love a smaller nose. What would be the cost for nose surgery?

Question

I had my nose broken when I was 15 years old and had surgery. I am not sure whether I have a build up of scar tissue as my nose has no real shape. My nose would be very similar to Amir Khan (boxer).

I am white and I believe my skin is thick and would love a smaller nose in all areas. I hope you can help me.

What would be the cost with everything included?

Answer

There are a number of reasons why the nose may have wider appearance and no significant definition. The typical boxer nose deformity is related to damage to the nasal septum, sometimes related to haematoma that has not been drained.

As part of the process, I would need to evaluate on one hand the starting shape and on the other hand the target shape using computer simulation and your guidance, and at the same time to determine whether the nasal septum still has enough strong cartilage for support.

If the septum has been damaged beyond being useful, rib cartilage graft can be used for nasal reshaping and support. The element of narrowing for the bridge of the nose and tip are a separate issue, but typically it is possible to create a more defined contour.
