I'm 22 years old, thinking of breast surgery, would like to have them enlarged a bit.
How can I find out if my health condition is good enough, what do i need to do in order to prepare my body for a surgery, and finally how much time off work do I need, and how does it look like financially?
For breast augmentation (breast implant surgery) since I usually advise taking one week off work, although with regards to office activities, many younger patients feel a shorter break is sufficient.
As preparation for the surgery, the most important thing is to avoid using aspirin as it can lead to more substantial bleeding after the surgery. If you are using the contraceptive pill, stopping it at least 3 weeks prior to surgery would reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis, or clots in the leg veins which can also be harmful. Alternative contraception becomes necessary to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
