I find it commendable that you have the patience and time to answer the questions of thousands online. I hope you could kindly reply to my query as well.

I want to have a rhinoplasty and have already had a consultation with a surgeon.

My concerns involved an uneven nose that is a result of a trauma 10 years ago. The left side of my nose has a fractured cartilage. My nostrils as well have different shapes.

The surgeon informed me that it is not guranteed that he can achieve an even nose or an even nostril. I am hoping perhaps you can offer me a bit more reassurance as you have performed extensive and hundreds of rhinoplasties.

In terms of perfect symmetry, it would be fair to say that it is never possible either naturally or through surgery, and if you look carefully at anybody's features you will be able to detect the asymmetries.

That being said, my significant asymmetries can be corrected to more limited and more difficult to see levels of asymmetry, which we typically fail to notice on a cursory examination.

Post-traumatic rhinoplasty typically has to address and asymmetric and deviated shape of the nose, and a significant degree of improvement is achievable.
