Would you be able to carry out this procedure but with the NHS paying for it?

Question

I have a deviated septum and was told that it would need correcting some time in the future. I am aware that the NHS will pay to have my deviated septum sorted but I would also like to reduce the size of my nose as it is too long.

Would you be able to carry out this procedure but with the NHS paying for it?

Answer

I think in this situation you may be better off seeing an ENT surgeon in the NHS with a view to correcting the airway, and they may be happy to address the shape at the same time.

Normally, the NHS does not cover aesthetic nasal reshaping, but the degree of change is limited, your surgeon agreed to incorporate that with the airway surgery.

Alternatively, you can have the airway surgery first, and consider having the reshaping surgery at a later date.

One of the ENT surgeons have worked and I would gladly recommend, is Mr William Grant, who works as a consultant at the Charing Cross hospital in central London.
