Question

I am anticipating a revision rhinoplasty to fix a hanging columella and to lower nostril rims.

Could this be done 6 months from the previous surgery, if not how soon after the first operation is suitable?

Answer

It is generally considered that 9-12 months from the intervention is more appropriate, and that 6 months is a somewhat too short interval because the tissues in the area have not settled sufficiently.

You could also discuss with your surgeon whether he or she would be happy to use some injectable filler as a temporary measure to create the impression that the nostril rim is lower whilst you are waiting for the revision intervention.
