Questions & Answers The Surgical Experience About Anaesthesia

I have been left with breathing problems and large short nose after primary rhinoplasty.

Your questions answered by our surgeon, Lucian Ion, FRCS(Plast)

Question

This will be my 3rd op. I have been left with breathing problems and large short nose after private primary rhinoplasty.

Do you take patients via NHS and GP referrals? As affording this life changing procedure is too expensive for me to pay all over again. I will only go ahead in the hands of someone as experienced as yourself.

Answer

I am afraid that I do not work in the NHS anymore, so this is not an option as far as I am concerned.

I would suggest a referral to an ENT specialist to try and understand better the nature of the nasal obstruction and some of the options for improvement. Sometimes, a combined ENT/Plastic Surgery collaboration is suitable to address both the concerns related to breathing and appearance.
