Questions & Answers The Surgical Experience About Anaesthesia

My nose seems perfect face on but from the side it's a very noticeable slope.

Your questions answered by our surgeon, Lucian Ion, FRCS(Plast)

Asked on 30 September 2012

I had broken my nose almost 6 years ago on holiday and while in hospital I also underwent rhinoplasty, however I am extremely unhappy with the results.

My nose seems perfect face on but from the side it's a very noticeable slope where the nostrils seem extremely long in comparison with the top part.

Sorry if I can't describe it too well, I'm basically satisfied with the "bone" part of the nose, just the "meaty" lower part (tip?) doesn't match.

As much as I don't want to have costly surgery this is really affecting my life and I need it.

Could you please give me advise on what my options are, procedures necessary, cost, etc?

It is indeed not possible to give an evaluation based on this description.

At the time of the consultation it is possible to assess the characteristics of the nose, and using computer simulations either into the 3-D to determine the direction for change and based on that, the type of surgery that may be suitable.
