I really can't remember a time when I felt confident with my eyes, at least for the past fifteen years I had considered having surgery. I found myself making facial expressions to cover what I felt were my great embarrassment and I must have brought every Gel and cream that promised to “de bag” and “re-generate” my eyes. I was always left disappointed.

As a big birthday loomed, I felt that it was a now or never situation I visited a few surgeons but Mr. Ion stood head and shoulders above the rest. I found myself becoming excited as he explained the procedure to me, but his technique was different from the others. He was taking into account that after he had removed my bags, I would be left with a hollow look, to compensate for this, he suggested a small fat transfer. No other surgeon had mentioned this to me.

To say I was nervous was really an under statement. Now, after ten weeks, I am so happy, I face each situation with confidence. I was really most impressed with how I was listened to and Mr. Ion's understanding of what I wanted to achieve.

I really cannot recommend him, his staff and the staff of St. Luke's hospital highly enough. In fact, my husband, who until now has been totally against cosmetic surgery, can be found in front of the mirror saying that he wants to find something to have done because he is so impressed with how my procedure went.

Also, the girls at the surgery are so lovely. My only regret … that I waited so long. Without doubt, Mr. Ion is my super hero. Thank you.

I appreciate you advising me to wait three months regarding the facial fat transfer, admittedly my nose does look a little different to when initially removed the bandage, so I can see what you mean when you said the tip was swollen in all directions. Hopefully though the swelling will go down. If not it is re-assuring to know that there may be something you can do about it at the same time as the fat-transfer. Though even with the swelling, my nose is still smaller, and I can see the improvement. It’s softer and slightly shorter, and suits my face better I feel. In essence, I’m very glad I had it done! I look forward to seeing you in three months.

I would like to put pen to paper, to thank you for the outcome of my nose operation. It has made a huge difference to my life. Prior to July, I was extremely conscious of my nose and I had let this affect my behaviour, in countless ways in everyday life, for many years. Now I do not have to. I recently joined a rowing club in Putney, I am quite happy to train in the gym down there with no make up on those days – well maybe just a dash of mascara…! I am not sure that I would have had the confidence to join the Club at all, previously. I felt confident and comfortable about the procedure from my first consultation at the practice and have always found Margaret to be very reassuring and helpful.
