I had rhinoplasty about 10 years ago and my columella strut has deviated and protrudes.
I saw a doctor who said it would be better out than in, what is your thought?
My view is that it very much depends on the characteristics of your nasal cartilages, and the level of support that they provide for the nasal tip.
Soft cartilage support to the nasal tip may lead to drop in projection when removing the columella strut so it may be preferable to adjust its position and the relationship to the lower part of the nasal septum.
If the cartilage support of the nasal tip is anyway relatively strong, removing the columella strut could be the answer.
