I am 21 and I have a double chin so I am considering surgery. It is really annoying and have wanted to get rid of it all my life.

I was wondering if I can get a price bracket of how much they normally cost and also what type of scars do you get after the procedure?

At the age of 21, the more likely procedure for correcting a double chin would be liposuction. If there is also a problem of weight excess, I would suggest as a starting point attempting to lose some of the weight and evaluate whether the double chin persists.

It is fair to say that in some instances a double chin can be constitutional even in the presence of normal weight, and is sometimes also associated with an underdevelopment of the chin. In this situation, a combination of liposuction and chin implant may be preferable.

In general terms, at the time of the consultation it is possible to evaluate on computer imaging either in 2-D or 3-D the extent of the problem and degree of change required, and then establish a treatment plan accordingly.
