Questions & Answers The Surgical Experience About Anaesthesia

I'm interested in having breast augmentation and liposuction. How much in total would it cost for these procedures?

I have come across your clinic after conducting some research into breast augmentations and liposuction treatments in which I am hoping to receive and felt your website was extremely informative.

I would be very grateful if you could take some time to answer a few questions I have and if I could arrange a consultation.

A brief history of why I would like these procedures is that as a teenager I was overweight.

Since then (I am now 26) I have shifted that weight and attend exercise classes 4-5 times a week and have done so for quite some time.

However, I am very much disheartened and have very low self esteem that no matter what I do I am unable to shift the fat within my inner thighs.

In addition to that very much miss the fullness of my breasts when I was overweight but thought health was more important than breast fullness.

I suffer with the lack of confidence of what I am left with after years of exercise.

I feel I have missed out in a lot of my youth in hiding behind baggy clothes and now that I have completed studies and finally employed I am able to afford something I have been wanting for 8 years.

My questions are:

Does one consultation fee cover the assessment of both procedures?

Is it best to have these procedures at the same time? i.e. under the same aesthetic or does this come with increased risk factors?

I am not sure if I will need an breast uplift but if I do, will I still be able to produce breast milk if I were to have children in the future or does it depend on the amount of work needed on the lift?

Lastly, how much in total would it cost for liposuction and breast enlargements with and without uplift?

Would really appreciate your help and advice and look forward to hearing from you.

Yes indeed the consultation fee covers both interventions.

With regards to the procedure is taking place together or separately, the main concentrations are related to recovery, stay in hospital, and difference in costs.

The anaesthetic itself won't be a significantly different risk level if a breast augmentation is carried out at the same time as the liposuction or not.

The problem with knowing whether breastfeeding is still possible after surgery is the lack of suitable research.

There are no predictive factors I am aware of to know whether someone can breastfeed or not with or without surgery.

It is well appreciated that women have been able to breastfeed after augmentation or uplift, but the general advice is that if breastfeeding is very important to you, it is safer to assume that after surgery you may not be able to breastfeed.

Therefore my guidance would be that you should aim to go through a first pregnancy which will give you clarity regarding breastfeeding and then decide about the surgery.
