Could a fat transfer give me the hourglass shape?

Question

My waist goes in, then my hips go out but in-between the top and bottom bit of my hips they go in again. It is frustrating because I almost have an hourglass figure, it's just this gap that is preventing me from accomplishing it.

I have done research and was wondering if a fat transfer could be done to fill in the 'gap' in my hips so I could have the perfect hourglass figure and also how much the cost would be?

Answer

Typically, the fat transfer to the hips would be sourced from the waistline to create a more defined appearance.

From your description, that may not be possible if the waistline is already well-defined. In order to have sufficient volume for the transfer, it would be necessary to identify a suitable donor region.

This would be classified as large area fat transfer, since the volume of treatment is likely to be 250 to 300 cc each side.
