I am hoping to have tear trough treatment done as I have a shadow under my eyes due to loss of volume in this area.

I have a very slim face. It is proving difficult to find a practitioner that is very experienced in this area. There seems to be many PS that do not offer it for some reason and I can't find out what the risks and reasons are.

What are your thoughts and charges for this procedure?

Injectable fillers based on hyaluronic acid are an established way to produce improvement for the tear trough.

Treatment in the area has to be carried out very carefully in particular to avoid irregularities. Injections very close to the inner corner of the eye also carry more significant risks if the product is injected inadvertently in blood vessels.

The other consideration is that when the skin is very thin in the tear trough region, larger volume of filler would become visible as grey blue discolouration, and in this situation it may be better to use fat transfer, because of its beige opaque nature, but this of course requires an surgical intervention.

It is possible to use 3-D imaging and simulation to evaluate the degree of change necessary to produce an effect to your liking, and based on this to decide on the best type of treatment or combination of treatments.

Charges for injectable filler treatment based on the amount of product used and in my practice start at £300.
